This course is for Hartford HealthCare employees only.  An HHC employee badge must be brought to class. 

 

Providing a comprehensive overview of the Zoll R defibrillator's basic functions. Class will provide hands on instruction showcasing a brief overview, its use in a patient emergency, and usage in cardiac arrest (both automatic and manual modes).

Approved for 1.0 Nursing Contact Hour

 

Learning Objectives:

  • Perform daily test and inspect of Zoll R series
  • Demonstrate proper procedures for defibrillation using a Zoll R series in AED mode
  • Employ safe charging and shock delivery procedures while using the Zoll R series
  • Showcase correct procedures for changing Zoll R series to manual mode and advisory mode
  • Interpret Zoll R Series advisory messages and take appropriate actions to rectify
