Course Description

An AHA Instructor course teaches the methods needed to effectively instruct others in resuscitation courses.

The ideal instructor candidate:

• Is highly motivated to facilitate learning
• Desires to provide his or her students with the best possible educational experience
• Views skill assessment as an effective educational tool

Prerequisites

• All instructor candidates must be:
• AHA requires instructors be at least 16 years of age
• Candidates must have and submit a copy of a current AHA Provider card in the discipline they wish to teach
• The ACLS Instructor Essentials Course must be completed. CESI EMS will send the information to access this content prior to class.
