This 250+ hour course is an entry-level program that will train you to be an integral member of the pre-hospital team. The course provides instruction in basic life support skills such as CPR, airway management, treatment of bleeding control, and shock recognition. In addition, we will cover care for trauma patients, medical emergencies, OB/GYN, and pediatrics.

Upon successful completion of the program, you will be eligible to take the certification exam from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). Successful completion of the exam is required in order to be certified as an EMT in Connecticut.
